Back From Austin Texas - BBQ, Bikes And Music

The TMT crew were in Austin for MotoGP and music was also on hand not far from the command post/motel. Located in our parking lot was a kick ass BBQ place that was awesome, we will be staying here next year.
Our lift kit and suspension has arrived after many delays and we will be getting to work on our first project vehicle, a ranch safety truck. We will also be working on a customer Hijet and a 99 Minicab that will be set up for fishing or small game hunting. We will be starting work on these in he next couple of weeks and the updates will get posted as they get tackled.

Parts Delayed - Trucks Landing

Parts for the first truck have been delayed, which I will get into soon, our second truck is here and the third due next week our schedule is very hectic. We will be attending the MotoGP event in Austin, TX, and as soon as we return we will be in the paint shop doing both Daihatsu's. The parts delay comes after a near 4 week wait from the time we placed the order for the parts we require. One aspect of the minitruck market we did not want to explore was OEM parts and suspension/lift kits as we did not want to step on the toes of those currently in business. The production of bumpers, racks and other items of the like is an option we feel is open to design and therefore we chose to go that direction. Used vehicle sales we provide are on a custom order basis, we will have 3 vehicles maximum in our inventory(when not waiting for delivery from Japan), not including special orders or multi-vehicle purchases.
Another aspect of our business once the store is up on the website is that if anything is not in stock you will not be charged for it and your credit/debit card will not be charged until the order is ready to ship and upon invoicing you will be provided a tracking number for your shipment. Let's keep our fingers crossed and if anything I will post after returning from Austin.

How We See It

The Japanese Mini Truck is an excellent alternative to the Side X Side vehicle and in some cases could be a better choice. The performance Side X Side is a great offroad vehicle and offers the user performance to handle just about any conditions but is a little on the loud side and while even our Navy SEAL's use a certain model for their operations, most sport Side X Side's are limited to what they can carry to a certain degree, while the Mini Truck has a base platform designed to haul, carrying stuff is what it was designed for, not racing. Now some might argue that's why utility Side X Side's exist and that is a grest point and yes they will work just fine in the same role as a Japanese Mini Truck, however the utility Side X Side is open to the elements and while you can modify one with a cab kit, the Japanese Mini Truck is already done, stereo, heat and in most cases A/C included.

These Japanese Mini Truck's use a 660cc 3 cylinder engine and come standard with a quiet exhaust so you don't sound like you are lining up for the Baja 1000 which is useful if you plan to use a small vehicle for security or hunting purposes. Bumpers and bar kits allow use of lights and infra red LED and because of the fold down bed platform just about any mod is possible. Security, hunting, fishing, camping, tractor maintenance, search and rescue, property management, what are your needs?

Soon we will have bumpers, top racks, gun racks and a troop cover kit in stock as well as a custom vehicle that will be for sale in the next couple of months.
